Reviews of the Highland Tours organised by Rabbie's
We booked the Stirling Castle and Loch Lomand tour and had a great time. The small size of the tour group (max 16) made moving from location to location a great approach versus larger tour groups. Our driver/guide was extremely informative, had a "light touch" on keeping to the schedule and overall was a great host for our day trip. In many ways we preferred Stirling Castle to Edinburgh Castle and would highly recommend this day tour.
I also did the Stirling Castle etc. dayy tour out of Glasgow. Just as enjoyable with beautiful scenery. Would have liked a bit more time at Loch Lomand but still it was a great day.
We took the Rabbie's tour of Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond. Our tour driver was enthusiastic, helpful, and humorous and spent quite a bit of time telling us about Scottish history and debunking popular Hollywood myths. The van size is great, as it provides for a more intimate experience. Stirling Castle is beautiful, but the views from the castle may be even more impressive. The town of Stirling looks as if it would be worth a day to tour just on its own, but we didn't have that opportunity. Lunch was in Aberfoyle. We had just the right amount of time to eat without feeling rushed, and I enjoyed the fact that we weren't all forced to eat at the same restaurant.
