Reviews of this Loch Lomond & Stirling Castle Tour

Days Out Tours - A great, full day out in a mini-bus with excellent commentary from the driver. Went on the trip from Edinburgh to Loch Lomond via Stirling. There were frequent stops to see the many wonderful sights, - so many castles, lochs, mountains - have loo breaks and food/drink breaks too (so anyone with a weak bladder will be fine!) And every stop was somewhere great and affordable. Hopefully you'll also get our great driver, Tony. Nice day trip to Loch Lomond and package - My wife and I booked a 3-day city break in Edinburgh, which included a one-day trip to Loch Lomond and Stirling. Liam was driver and guide during the whole tour, providing us with lots of interesting facts and stories (Among them, the fact that it was not Robert the Bruce who betrayed William Wallace, as the movie "Braveheart" had wrongfully led us to believe, but a certain earl of Menteith!!). The bus was quite comfortable, stops were all right (although in my opinion we spent too much time in Loch Lomond and too little in Stirling, which apart from the castle seemed to be a rather nice town, but unluckily we didn't have time to visit it ) and Liam had an infinite patience with some guys who kept arriving late to the bus. He stopped most of the times we requested it without a complaint, and thus we could get our much-desired photo of some of those hairy cows! I was so delighted to have chosen Rabbies for the one day trip to Loch Lomond. I had read most of the reviews here and was a bit iffy about the small bus but we had a great day. It was our guide who made it brilliant. They seem to employ the same type of guides. Our man's name was Mac. He never stopped telling us about all the battles down through the years in Scotland, between the clans and the bigger ones with Robert de Bruce and of course William Wallace. He was passionate about Scotland and its history, wearing his kilt and playing his bagpipes which he did for us at our stop at Loch Katrine.
