About the Isle of Skye

Skye is the largest island in the Inner Hebrides archipelago off the west coast of Scotland. Its popularity with tourists lies partly in the fact that is very representative of the Highlands of Scotland in terms of landscape and people with one exception - it doesn't have any decent beaches!
